Meeting on the last Thursday of every month (except December)
At shop 30 The Plaza Ulladulla NSW 2539.

Our Premises are on the 1st Floor of the Plaza, opp. Marlin Hotel. Wheelchair access is via the Boree St. car park. The shop is between the Ulladulla Palace Restaurant and the Plaza Video shop.

Our venue is gratefully supplied by Denise McDonald of South East Community College.

Come along and enjoy an informative and fun evening with the Mulligrubs Internet & Computer Group. There is no formal membership of Mulligrubs and everyone is welcome to attend the meetings. We have a fee of $3 each meeting for coffee / tea / bickies. All ages and all levels of users are welcome.

Our evening starts off with an informal dinner at the Ulladulla Palace , a Thai & Vietnamese Restaurant, which is 2 doors down from our meeting place. Join Ross and Sue at 6pm for those who wish an early dinner or just a snack before our meeting. Last month four of us shared a delicious Vietnamese dinner and a pre meeting chat. It was inexpensive and very nice.

The meeting commences at 7.30 pm where we will have a brief introduction and discussion on any problems, interesting occurrences or news stories that our members wish to talk about. If any members or visitors have anything of interest they wish to discuss or demonstrate, they are more than welcome to do so.
After this we will have a demonstration of our topic for the evening.
Following our demo we have a coffee/tea/bickie break and general chat.
After our break we may have a software demonstration and the use of 12 online computers.

The club is most appreciative of the services of Mike Parnell of Shoalhaven Internet Services and Andrew of Scoastnet Internet for their continual help and contribution to our group. Mike and Andrew are frequently on hand to answer any internet queries.

Last month's meeting was enjoyed by all. We started off with a question and answer session concerning internet problems, and anything to do with software hardware etc. This was chaired by Ross, with most problems sorted out by our members after discussion. Anyone with suggestions or answers on any computer subject was much appreciated.

This then was followed up by Sue giving a hands on and informative look at the inside of a desktop computer, explaining what they were and what they were for. She then demonstrated the computer's BIOS, explaining what it was, how to get into, and use it. And lastly she demonstrated how to look up the computer's particulars, which is important to know if thinking of upgrading or buying new peripherals.

A big thank you goes out to Gay & Bill for the donation of a monitor which will come in very handy at our meetings. If anyone else would like to donate a computer or computer parts for use of the club it would be very welcome. Any sort of hardware or older bits and pieces will be very useful, as they can be used in hands on instructions. If they are working so much the better!

This Month 25 March 2004

Easy Upgrades

This month we will show you how easy it is to upgrade your computer's memory, install a cdrom or cdrw, and add a pci card such as extra usb ports.

We will also demonstrate a simple and free program named “Mailwasher”, from downloading it, to installing, setting up and using.

We hope you can come along and join us investigating computers and their uses, now and into the future.
