The SHOALHAVEN FAMILY HISTORY SOCIETY INC. was formed in 1985 to promote and encourage the study and preservation
of family history, genealogy and allied subjects. It is a dynamic society, able to offer to members the use of an extensive collection
of genealogical resource material, local, Australia wide and overseas, as well as a fund of skill and expertise.
It is also a friendly group. Members exchange information with each other; those with special skills share their knowledge at
workshops and panel discussions such as using computers for family history and in educational seminars in various aspects of
family history research.

PRIVACY POLICY
MEETINGS:
The Society’s meetings are held at our Research Centre, Greenwell Point Rd
Pyree, (see directions under Research Centre). They are held on the first
Saturday of the month (except January) commencing at 1.30pm. Some meetings have guest
speakers who have expertise in various areas of genealogy and family history.

DNA INTEREST GROUP:
We have a DNA Interest group where members can
receive help and advice in gaining the best results from their DNA tests.
Meetings are held in a workshop format so bring your details to access your
account. This group meets at 10am on the 1st Saturday of the month (except
January) the morning of the General Meeting.

Our Research Centre is open the 1st & 2nd Thursday of the month and every Sunday, both days 10am to 4pm except the winter
months. During the months of June, July & August the library will close at 3pm if no one is researching. The Centre is normally closed on the Sunday of Public Holiday weekends. The
numerous facilities are available free to members and non members may use the research facilities at a cost of $10 per session
with the assistance of the volunteers on duty.

REMEMBRANCE FLOWER SERVICE
Especially For Mothers Day, remember her with flowers!
We are now offering a Remembrance Flower Service for
those who cannot visit the Shoalhaven. We will place flowers on a grave in
various Shoalhaven cemeteries for you and send you back a photograph to
commemorate this. The cost of this service is only $50. For further
information and to print the request form, click here

EMEMBRANCE
FLOWERS. We will also visit a grave and
take photos of headstones for you. The cost for two photos is $20. Please
contact us for this service.
GIFT VOUCHERS:
Are you looking for that
special gift for a loved one, why not give a years membership
to the SFHS to a family member and then they can do your family history with
you or for you. This is a gift which will last all year round. Contact the
Society to obtain your certificate for the applicable membership category
the recipient falls in. (Current membership fees are listed on this site
under Memberships).
