• Accounts are charged at the rates listed above, with auto-increments occurring as each level is reached. At the end of each calendar month, all accounts are reset to the minimum plan (2GB for residential plans, 20GB for a business plan) and a tax invoice for the previous month is emailed.
  


• The residential plan may be locked or suspended if the total volume exceeds 500GB in a calendar month. (Fair usage.) This suspension can be removed on application.
  


• Installation charges:
• Residential and Business: The standard unit cost is $110. The High Gain Unit cost is $165. As a guide, the Standard unit can be used up to about 5Km from the tower.
  
• Enterprise: The standard cost is $340. The High Gain unit cost is $500.
  

These charges will be fully refunded if the installation fails to meet acceptable standards in the first two months.

Additional charges may be incurred if wiring changes are required but these will be addressed on site with the proprietor.

• Data speeds are set to the following theoretical maximum data rates :
• A best effort of 20Mbps download and 5Mbps upload for Residential plans.
• A best effort of 30Mbps download and 20Mbps upload for business plans,
• A committed data rate (CDR) of 30Mbps download and 20Mbps for enterprise plans.

These rates may burst to a maximum of 55Mbps depending on network availability. The normal caveats apply with all of these data speeds - there are many factors beyond our control which will ultimately affect these data rates, however these rates are offered as an indicitive guide to the maximum capabilities of our network.

• For comparison purposes the minimum cost over 24 months for the residential plan is
  ($110 + 24 * $32.95) = $900.80.
  We do not have any minimum commitment term. 


• Ownership of the equipment remains with Shoalhaven Internet at all times. You are responsible for the external Radio transceiver and the associated power supply on your property, just as you are responsible for connection equipment for other services such as power, phone and gas. If the equipment is accidentally damaged or lost, you may be charged for the repair or replacement. Customers are required to use a power surge protection device to help protect your own equipment as well as our radio equipment. In rural areas, lightning strikes are common!! It is advisable to take precautions and unplug the equipment from the mains power supply during electrical storms or if you are away from home for an extended period.
