Android Email Setup

Android phones vary slightly. These instructions apply to mail apps that support a manual POP3 account.

  1. Open your phone's Settings or Email app.
  2. Choose Add Account.
  3. Choose Email, Other or Personal (POP3).
  4. Enter your full email address and password.
  5. If asked to choose an account type, choose POP3.
  6. Enter the incoming and outgoing server settings below.
  7. Make sure Require sign-in or Authentication is ON for outgoing mail.
  8. Save the account and send yourself a test message.

Example: for jsmith@shoalhaven.net.au, the username is jsmith.
Do not choose IMAP unless Shoalhaven Internet has specifically supplied IMAP settings for your account.

If You Cannot Send Mail

Check that the SMTP server is smtp.shoalhaven.net.au, the port is 587, and outgoing authentication is enabled.
