"This is a bank branch that won't be dictated to by big city bosses," Sanctuary Point Community Bank® Chairman Jeff Everingham said. "Our bank branch is owned by the people of Sanctuary Point and in partnership with Bendigo Bank, we have secured a bank branch for our community.

"Not only have we opened this branch, we will also benefit from profits in coming years as the business grows." Sanctuary Point is the 125th community to open a Community Bank® branch and the 21st in New South Wales. It has taken more than two years of planning to reach this point, the campaign spurred on by the closure of bank branches in previous years.

"I urge the people of Sanctuary Point and surrounding districts who support our community, to bank with their new Community Bank® Branch and help to grow the business."
